The Ajo rider took his thirteenth pole in Moto2 and confirmed his leading position from last year in Catalonia, on a Montmélo track which was not the one offered today. A great performance in a session marked by falls of Lowes and Kent, but especially that of Morbidely which gave you a cold sweat the day after the sad Friday we had.
All the pilots were fortunately unhurt. Tom Luthi completes the first line at the expense of Nakagami and Lowes who saves the furniture. Axel Pons is sixth ahead of Alex Márquez, Baldassari, Schrotter and Cortese who closes the top 10. The disappointment is called once again Folger, twelfth. John Zarco had not held pole position since the last Japanese Grand Prix in October 2015. But the last time Kidneys started second, he won the race. It was at Le Mans this year. Place your bets !
