By qualifying on the front row, Dani Pedrosa improved his best performance of the year in this area, after Argentina where, having started 4th, he concluded the race on the third step of the podium.

Does this mean that he will go back there again tomorrow? The good adaptation of the Hondas to the new Montmelo track may indeed suggest this, especially since the Repsol Honda driver did not do his best lap in qualifying...

Dani Pedrosa: “I'm obviously trying everything with the bike to improve it in all sections. Of course, the last section is new so there are also some habits to learn quickly. This last section is difficult. I tried my best during qualifying but I didn't set my best time there. Fortunately, I'm still on the front row, and it's my first front row (of the year) so I'm happy because it's a much better position to start from. Today I hope to further improve the feeling on the bike with the tires a little, and try to do my best tomorrow. »
