The starting grid is the same as during the first race which took place this morning on the Catalunya circuit and, despite the splendid victory of TransFiormers masterfully led by Ricard Cardus, Nagashima, Gardner, Odendaal, Cardus, Granado, Fernandez, Techer, Lecuona and Ekky therefore monopolize the first three lines..

Following the problems encountered this morning, Alan Techer does not start.

Splendid start to the race from Remy Gardner, qui, like in the first round, immediately dig the hole, in front Nagashima who this time did not miss his departure, Odendaal and Cardus off to a good start again.
Gardner is really fast and already has over 2 seconds at the end of the second loop.

During the 3rd round, Cardus passes Nagashima who doesn't seem to be able to keep up the pace, then sets off in pursuit of Odendaal. After 2 laps, the TransFiormers is in the wheel of the Kalex but is visibly slower in a straight line. Never mind, Cardus passes Odendaal in the new stadium chicane. Odendaal takes advantage of the straight to regain the advantage but Cardus doesn't give up and immediately goes back into the curve; it's beautiful!

At the halfway mark, Gardner was only 1,4 seconds ahead of the two men.
On the 11th lap out of 17, the gap fell below a second but the Australian driver defended himself tooth and nail and, at each corner, a fight for a few hundredths took place; 7 tenths on the 12th passage, 8 on the 13th, 9 on the 14th…
In fact, the fairing of the TransFiormers flaps a little and Gardner looks likely to get his first win of the season, especially since Cardus had complained about the degradation of his tires and chattering at the end of the first race.

And indeed, Remy Gardner crosses the finish line 2,5 seconds ahead of Ricard Cardus' TransFiormers, itself preceding Odendaal, Granado, Nagashima and Lecuona.

Thibaut Bertin finished 12th, Thibaut Gourin 21, Paul Dufour 24th while William Raymond abandoned.

First victory for Wayne's son, in Sébastien Gimbert's structure, Race Experience, which obviously received a helping hand from the CarXpert Moto2 Grand Prix team.
