Augusto Fernandez started from pole position in his Suter, ahead of the Kalex of Xavier Cardelus and Jesko Raffin. Corentin Perolari was eleventh in the TransFIORmers of Christian Boudinot and Cédric Tangre sixteenth, while Philippe Le Gallo (in Superstock) was a little further back in twenty-sixth position, therefore not qualified.

Ivo Lopes started the fastest, while Xavier Cardelus fell without gravity in the first corner. Lopes opened up a gap of more than 3 seconds on his pursuers, which was all the more surprising as he was riding a Superstock in front of the Moto2s. It was the first time that this situation had occurred since the creation of the CEV.

The Portuguese Ivo Lopes increased his lead to 3.7 over Augusto Fernandez, 6.7 ahead of Jesko Raffin and 8.4 ahead of the Indonesian Dimas Ekky. Corentin Perolari was eighth and Cédric Tangre twelfth.

Largely comfortable in the lead with more than 5 seconds ahead of Fernandez, Ivo and his R6 Superstock set the best time in the race in 1'46.601. The Swiss Marcel Brenner moved up to third position, behind Lopes and Fernandez. Then Ekky overtook him for the third step on the podium. Ekky and Brenner were joined by Raffin and Edgar Pons.

Shortly after halfway, Lopes was 7.8 ahead of Fernandez, and around twenty seconds ahead of the group made up of Raffin, Ekky, Pons and Brenner. Perolari was ninth at 45 seconds and Tangre thirteenth at 55.

At the end of the race, Lopes maintained his 7 seconds lead over Fernandez, who counted the same on Raffin and Ekky. Brenner was fifth at 26. Edgar Pons fell without seriousness. Perolari was ninth and Tangre tenth.

Under the checkered flag, the Portuguese Ivo Lopes and his Yamaha Superstock achieved the unique feat of beating all the Moto2s led by Fernandez, Raffin, Ekky, Brenner and Zaccone. Perolari was ninth ahead of Tangre.
