After a long pre-season, those responsible for the CEV Repsol FIM Championship have just announced that the first two events of the season have now been authorized. As previously announced, the first race will take place at the “Circuito do Estoril”, followed by the second at the “Autodromo Internacional do Algarve” in Portimão.

Due to health protocols and travel restrictions, dates have been changed:

Estoril

-Sunday July 5: Official CEV test sessions

-Monday July 6: Qualifying sessions

-Tuesday July 7: Races

Portimão

-Friday July 10: Official CEV test sessions

-Saturday July 11: Official CEV test sessions

-Sunday July 12: Qualifying sessions

-Monday July 13: Races

As planned, the following races will take place during each event:

Estoril:

FIM Junior Moto3 World Championship, Moto2 European Championship (2 races) and Hawkers European Talent Cup (2 races).

Portimao:

FIM Junior Moto3 World Championship, Moto2 European Championship (2 races) and Hawkers European Talent Cup.

The CEV Repsol FIM and each circuit work closely with the sporting and health authorities to ensure that CEV races take place in a safe environment and according to the required measures on the specified dates. To this end, a Covid-19 protocol is being finalized, which details the guidelines to be followed and explains the measures that have been adopted, such as the reduction and strict control of the number of people in the paddock, controls of temperature before access, medical examinations if applicable, and social distancing.

Further updates to the FIM CEV Repsol calendar will be released after the official FIM MotoGP calendar is released.
