Fabio Di Giannantonio rides for the Del Conca Gresini Moto3 team and yesterday concluded the first day of private test in valence in third position.

Unfortunately, the Italian driver crashed badly at the end of the second day and got up with a fractured right collarbone. After undergoing various medical checks at the Valencia hospital, it will be decided whether he should return to Italy to undergo surgery to reduce this fracture.

Aged 18, Fabio Di Giannantonio impressed last year in his first season in Moto3 and is now a serious contender for the 2017 world title.

Fabio DiGiannantonio: “Yesterday, on the first day of testing, we only did a few laps due to a strong wind, and already this morning, the second day of testing did not start in the best way, since I immediately suffered a slight fall. However, we continued the test doing a good job later; In the last minutes of the day we did a few final set-up tests and, probably because of the cold tires, I took a highside and then crashed, fracturing my right collarbone. It's a shame, but my morale remains high: now I just have to get back in shape as soon as possible! ".
