He played, he won and he is over the moon Olivier! This Sunday March 26, 2017, 4 days before his golden jubilee, he is the guest of 4GMoto.com, the driving school set up by Bernard Garcia which also houses the Freddie Spencer Riding School.

Olivier is a regular on the track and a big fan of Paddock-GP, so it was only natural that he registered for the competition organized by the site in partnership with 4G.
The prize: a “VIP” day at the Driving Center, the Castellet school circuit. Loan of one of the school's Ducati Panigale 959s and personalized support through 4GMoto coaching. All this on Sunday March 26, 2017, the day we went back to school: that of the first GP of the new season... Admit that there are worse things!

Day and night

A biker since 1989, Olivier is passionate about BMW. He owns an R 1100 S from 2001 and an R 1200 RT from 2006. Two machines that this Thiaisian swaps for his Honda CB 500 for the journey from home to work. He has already ridden at Carole of course, but also at Magny-Cours, Lurcy-Lévis or even at Ferté Gaucher and Les Écuyers. We cannot therefore at all speak of a track neophyte, even if the Panigale 4GMoto takes him into another world.

“In position first, in rigidity and power then, this bike is day and night compared to mine,” Olivier exclaims. “For the moment, I am mainly focused on understanding it better, and discovering the trail. »

To help him, the advice of 4G instructors is invaluable. Trainees are divided into groups according to their levels, in order to guarantee uniform and pleasant driving conditions for everyone. At the start of each day, everyone receives a transponder. Not being a competition, but rather leisure riding, the times are used by the 4GMoto staff to avoid big disparities in level within each group. This is the guarantee of maximum safety conditions for pilots, with pleasure as a backdrop.

Those who opt for the coaching package from which Olivier benefits are given motorcycle riding explanations, from position to tires including analysis of the trajectory through videos of the trainees filmed on the track. “It really helps a lot,” confirms Olivier. “Visualizing your position and trajectories thanks to the videos that the instructors make while following us on the track allows you to understand much faster than any verbal explanation. I had already done other internship days elsewhere. There, it's more personalized, more intimate. »

A diligent student, Olivier will progress throughout the morning, while gaining confidence on this deliciously technical Driving Center track. What is really good about Driving is that the circuit is both accessible for all driving levels, and interesting for drivers with very varied abilities. From beginner to pro, everyone will find something to work on and refine. Without apprehension.

3.8 of Paul Ricard, then Sunday Ride

After the lunch break, Olivier resumes his “classes”. “I still have trouble with slow sequences,” he admits at the end of the day, visibly ready to start again as soon as possible. That's good, the next runs 4GMoto.com are Monday April 10 on the 3.8 km of Paul Ricard, then Saturday April 15 and Sunday April 16.

Team 4GMoto.com will then officiate at the Driving Center, and will also provide the show a few meters away, on the large Castellet circuit, with baptisms on his Panigale 1299 carried out by Loris Baz and Régis Laconi !

So if you want to experience the same happiness as Olivier, head to www.4Gmoto.com to quickly book your rides for April 10, 15 and 16!
