As the coronavirus spreads, it is having an increasing impact on many industries, including motorcycles.

Some manufacturers like Honda temporarily halted production and closed some of their factories in China, and the spread of the epidemic in Europe prompted Piaggio to immediately close its museum in Pontedera (See here).

Still in Italy, the country in Europe currently most affected with 1700 infections recorded, no manufacturer has yet suspended its activities, even if some have started to take precautionary measures.

In Borgo Panigale, Ducati announced on its website that the Ducati museum would be closed until March 31, 2020 and that factory tours are canceled until further notice. Fortunately, we can always visit the museum virtually without taking the slightest risk...

At MV Agusta, we take a more humorous approach by showing the measures taken at the Varese factory to help prevent the spread of the virus. The measures are classic, monitoring employees' temperatures and using face masks, but the video ends with taking the temperature of a motorcycle and putting a giant mask on an F3 800 RC.

Bad taste compared to the 34 transalpine victims, perhaps, but it would be too easy to judge behind our screens what people more involved than us feel. At MV Agusta, we chose to joke about it: let's respect it!
