Unfortunately, given the coronavirus situation which is evolving negatively from hour to hour, the Qatari authorities have just taken the decision this evening to refuse entry into their territory to Italian nationals and people who have stayed in Italy during the last 15 days. The same fate appears to have been applied to Japanese nationals.

As a result, with a large part of the paddock coming from Italy and Japan (even if some people remained behind after the IRTA tests), there seems to be no other solution than to cancel the event altogether. Grand Prix MotoGP from Qatar, while the Moto2 and Moto3 Grand Prix would be maintained, the teams concerned are already on site for the 3-day IRTA test which has just ended.

We bet that this is unfortunately not the last time we talk about this dark subject...

We are waiting any minute for an official statement definitively clarifying the situation…
