Before even continuing to report on this first Grand Prix of the season, with the post-race press conference, we would like to tip our hats off to the Michelin MotoGP competition department and to the entire team led on the ground by Nicolas Goubert .

However, Bridgestone technicians had set the bar very high in 2015, by lining up, after 7 years of monopoly, no fewer than 17 types of slick tires with various varieties of heat and/or chemical treatment.

But after an absence of 7 years and difficult tests in Valence last year, the Clermont-Ferrand firm was able to raise the bar and, with unfailing responsiveness, provide Losail with tires which made it possible to go even faster than last year.

A l’heure où il est de bon ton de faire du “french bashing” un peu partout, nous tenons tout simplement à saluer le travail des hommes de Michelin d’un grand coup de chapeau (ou d’un pouce en l’air, pour les plus jeunes générations)!

That's it!
