In 2019, there will be an additional category to follow during the Grand Prix meetings and this will be the FIM Enel World Cup MotoE. To put things in place, the protagonists of this new adventure found themselves at the Mugello as part of the Italian Grand Prix. And on this subject, we see that the VR46 no longer appears in the list. On the other hand, in its place we find an Ajo Motorsport which is also the armed wing of KTM in Moto2. The other teams are Tech3 Racing, LCR Team, Marc VDS Racing Team, Pramac Racing, Angel Nieto Team, Esponsorama Avintia Racing, Gresini Racing, Pons Racing, Dynavolt Intact GP and SIC58 Squadra Corse.

Teams operating in MotoGP will field two riders, while Moto2/Moto3 teams will enter just one. An update was also made on the selection and nomination procedure for MotoE riders, which will be the same as for the other categories of the MotoGP World Championship.

The test schedule has been decided for the Energica Ego Corsa and it is the Jerez – Ángel Nieto circuit, which will host the first Test at the end of November. Otherwise, it was agreed that two free practice sessions would be held on Friday, with an approximate interval of four hours. An E-Pole will then be held on Saturday; while the start of the race would be given on Sunday, just after the MotoGP warm-up in order to offer some visibility to the Cup.
