This weekend of April 29 and 30, the Moto-club Motors Event and the FFM, in the presence of Jacques Bolle, FFM President, received nearly 300 amateur motorcycle speed riders on the Circuit Carole! After this second weekend of races, are some drivers already positioning themselves as favorites?

PROMOSPORT 1000: BEAUTIFUL SLIDING FOR ROUSSANGE

The premier category drivers take their place on the starting line at the end of Sunday day when the weather turns out to be changeable. At the start, the Race Direction decided to delay the proceedings, so that the drivers could “fit” their horses with rain tires. A racing event which unfortunately delays William HERBILLON (Yamaha). Supposed to start from 3rd position, he finally started from the pit lane, after his competitors.

The first moments of the race are in favor of Noël ROUSSANGE (Honda), Alex SARRAYBAYROUSE (Suzuki) and Camille LAGEON (Yamaha). After a few laps, ROUSSANGE and SARRABAYROUSE escape in the lead leaving LAGEON riding alone while Eddy FERRE (Yamaha) rises sharply from the middle of the table and is in 4th place... Axel AYNIE (Yamaha) in 5th position, also decides to play elbows with FERRE and LAGEON!

At mid-race, ROUSSANGE is more than 6 seconds behind SARRABAYROUSE who seems to slow down the pace as the rain intensifies. AYNIE, who had gained the upper hand over LAGEON and FERRE, noticed SARRABAYROUSE's drop in speed and took advantage of his ease in the rain to get the better of the driver of the No. 96 Suzuki.

At the end of the race, AYNIE maintains a fast pace and returns to ROUSSANGE's wheel. However, it was the driver of the #3 Honda who finished in first place ahead of AYNIE. In 3rd place, Eddy FERRE stood out on the last lap and got the better of SARRABAYROUSE who, slowed down by a delayed driver, finished just off the podium.

Please note, William HERBILLON took 5th place after starting from the pit lane!

In the provisional ranking, Noël ROUSSANCE takes the lead with 41 points ahead of Johan NIGON (33 points) and Alex SARRABAYROUSE (27 points).

PROMOSPORT 600: POT FLYS

The first round is to be credited to Maxime BOURDON (Suzuki). A short-lived happiness for the latter who was relegated to 4th place by Clément FITTE (Yamaha), Guillaume POT (Yamaha) and Aurélien CHEVALLIER (Honda). The driver of the No. 99 Suzuki then faced the wrath of Thibaut NAGORSKI (Suzuki) and Kévin TRUEB (Honda).

Riding his No. 69 Yamaha, POT continues his effort and widens the gap on FITTE. Rigorous and diligent, FITTE works hard, and catches up with the lead driver, leaving him no respite. The provisional leader of the Coupes de France Promosport 600, however, did not let himself be taken aback and increased the pace in the final laps. POT thus confirms its superiority and emerges victorious without opposition, almost 5 seconds behind its pursuers.

Surprising at the end of the session, Maxime BOURDON emerges from 3rd row and attacks Clément FITTE. BOURDON steals 2nd position from the rider of the Yamaha n°127 on the last lap. FITTE therefore completes the podium ahead of the trio CHEVALLIER – TRUEB – NAGORSKI.

In the provisional standings, Guillaume POT is in the lead with 82 points ahead of Aurélien CHEVALLIER (40 points). Clément FITTE and Marc BACHELIER are in 3rd position with 30 points each.

PROMO 500 CUP

RACE 1: SANCHEZ GIVES THE KNOCK OF GRACE

The Promosport “gladiators” set off behind pole sitter Gabriel SANCHEZ (Honda). Author of a great operation at the start, Lucas MEUNIER (Honda) takes second position from the first turn relegating Cyril ERUAM to 3rd place and Baptiste FELGEROLLES (Honda) to 4th. Behind the quartet Ludovic DESCOURS (Honda) and Samuel TRUEB (Honda) are fighting for 5th place.

After 5 laps of racing, ERUAM accelerates and gets closer to the leader. The driver of the #1 Honda also recorded the best time in the race in 1'10''834 and continued his crazy race towards the lead.

A few laps after the halfway point, ERUAM went on the attack and stole first place from SANCHEZ. The men then began a battle in which MEUNIER took part, leaving FELGEROLLES more than 4 seconds behind.

3 laps from the end of the race, the Race Direction brings out a red flag, the classification freezes in the previous lap and it is finally Gabriel SANCHEZ who wins ahead of Cyril ERUAM and Lucas MEUNIER. Baptiste FELGEROLLES finished at the foot of the podium.

RACE 2: 1st VICTORY FOR RACE

The second round of the promo 500 category begins with Cyril ERUAM in the lead during the first round. The driver of Honda n°1 stands up to Gabriel SANCHEZ, Ludovic DESCOURS and Benjamin VAUCHER. Within the quartet, the drivers engaged in an intense battle where VAUCHER stood out after setting the best time in the race. Halfway through the session, the latter is in the lead while SANCHEZ and ERUAM fall, leaving VAUCHER and DESCOURS battling for first position. 3rd place is then in the sights of Alexis MEIGNAN (Honda) who until then was content with 5th place. To achieve his goal, the latter tries to assert his rights against Baptiste FELGEROLLES (Honda)…

During the 2nd part of the race, the positions were reversed within the two leading duos, DESCOURS took the advantage over VAUCHER, widened the gap and won. After getting the best of MEIGNAN, FELGEROLLES is making a comeback on VAUCHER! The driver of the Honda n°92 cannot resist his assailant, and abandons second place in favor of FELGEROLLES and completes the podium. Alexis MEIGNAN finished just off the podium ahead of Lucas MEUNIER (Honda).

Provisionally, Benjamin VAUCHER is in the lead with 42 points ahead of Ludovic DESCOURS (37 points) and Baptiste ESTADIEU (30 points).

PROMOSPORT 400

RACE 1: DE CANCELLIS WINS, MUEL TO THE MAT

Alan MUEL (Yamaha) dominated during practice and started from pole position. Riding his Yamaha n°32, the young MUEL kept the lead in the first laps ahead of Hugo DE CANCELLIS (Yamaha). Behind the leading riders, Dorian DA-RÉ (Yamaha) and Vincent GAUTHEREAU (KTM) are fighting fiercely for 3rd position. The peloton dominated by MUEL is closing in but GAUTHEREAU is unable to set the same pace as his predecessors who are taking off.

At mid-race, MUEL – DE CANCELLIS – DA-RÉ were within the same second in the lead when the Race Direction brought out the red flag following MUEL's fall!

A few moments later, the race restarts for 5 laps without the previous leader. It is DE CANCELLIS who takes command followed by DA-RÉ. The two leading men stand out from Mickael BOUSSEAU (Yamaha) and Vincent GAUTHEREAU who are competing for the last step of the podium with Vincent CARRIE (Yamaha).

The second part of the race ended with DE CANCELLIS as the winner, the rider of the Yamaha n°64 even managed to widen the gap with DA-RÉ who finished second by more than a second. The 3rd step of the podium goes to GAUTHEREAU, literally “alone” in 3rd place on the finish line in front of Mickael BOUSSEAU and Lucas CLEMENT (Yamaha). The latter recovers 5th place after the fall of Vincent CARRIE in the last lap.

Overall, over the two races, it was Hugo DE CANCELLIS who won ahead of Dorian DA-RÉ and Vincent GAUTHEREAU.

RACE 2: DE CANCELLIS CONFIRMED

Since his victory the day before, Hugo DE CANCELLIS leaves motivated more than ever to finish the first round in the lead neck and neck with Alan MUEL and Vincent GAUTHEREAU. In pursuit, a group of 6 riders made up of Mickael BOUSSEAU (Yamaha), Vincent CARRIE, Hugo ROBERT, Lucas CLEMENT (Yamaha) and Romain DORE (Yamaha) are trying to catch up with the leaders.

Author of the best lap on several occasions, DE CANCELLIS flew to victory and widened the gap on his opponents. Second place is between GAUTHEREAU and MUEL, one on a KTM, the other on a Yamaha, battling fervently, putting on a show until the last lap!

DE CANCELLIS manages his end of the race and wins without being worried. Behind the winner, it was ultimately the KTM rider who escaped in the last turns and finished second ahead of MUEL, 3rd. After a tough battle, 4th place went to CLEMENT ahead of CARRIE, ROBERT and BOUSSEAU.

Note, Dylan DELOUVY (Yamaha), finished 4th overall but, due to an early start and after the application of a 10-second penalty, ranked 9th.

In the provisional ranking, Hugo DE CANCELLIS is in the lead with 82 points ahead of Vincent GAUTHEREAU (47 points) and Dorian DA-RÉ (44 points).

PROMOSPORT 125

RACE 1: MARKARIAN ON THE RAZOR’S EDGE

Lucien VAUDRY (Yamaha), despite his status as poleman, mismanages his first lap and crosses the timing line in 7th place. It's Robin HOSSEY (Yamaha) who takes control of the race ahead of Loic MILLET (Yamaha) and Hugo GIRARDET (Yamaha) in the first laps. The three riders are pursued by Vincent BERNY (Yamaha) and Sylvain MARKARIAN (Yamaha).

After a few laps, MILLET makes a mistake, the race shakes up the hierarchy, it is now between BERNY, MARKARIAN, VAUDRY, HOSSEY and GIRARDET that everything is at stake! Following a titanic battle, right up to the “Golf” bend, it was MARKARIAN who came out in the lead and won ahead of BERNY and GIRARDET. HOSSEY and VAUDRY finished in 4th and 5th place.

RACE 2: MARKARIAN DOES THE DOUBLE!

Starting from 3rd position, it was the youngest in the category, Robin HOSSEY, who moved into the leading position in the first lap, holding off Lucien VAUDRY, Hugo GIRARDER, Vincent BERNY, Loic MILLET and Sylvain MARKARIAN. Like the first race, the peloton of leaders is truly compact since the 5 young men are riding almost in the same second.

Particularly comfortable in the afternoon, BERNY accelerated the pace in the second part of the race and got the better of HOSSEY. Unfortunately for the latter, VAUDRY, MILLET, MARKARIAN and GIRARDET also seem to find their feet and relegate him to 6th position 2 laps from the checkered flag. Unlikely but true scenario, the 6 drivers attack the last turn head-on and once again, MARKARIAN negotiates the “Golf” curve as best as possible and crosses the finish line in the lead! BERNY and HOSSEY complete the podium in front of VAUDRY and GIRARDET.

In the provisional ranking, Hugo GIRARDET holds the lead with 78 points ahead of Vincent BERNY (73 points) and Sylvain MARKARIAN (67 points).

SENIOR PROMO: CUZIN STANDS OUT

With a very good first lap, Bernard CUZIN (Kawasaki) is “running strong”! He inflicted a real correction on his opponents and moved into the lead with more than 4 seconds ahead from the 2nd lap over Stéphane NEFF (Yamaha), Alain GARGOU (Aprilia), Jocelyn HARS (Kawasaki), James GUYON (Yamaha). However, starting from 2nd position, Gérald MUTEAU (BMW) signed an inconclusive first lap which placed him in 6th place behind the peloton.

An experienced driver, MUTEAU gains momentum and comes back lap after lap on his predecessors. After halfway, the driver of the #94 BMW is in 2nd position. On his heels, NEFF does not let itself be left behind and remains in the wheel of the ex-driver of the legendary Macau GP. In 4th place, HARS remains in ambush…

At the finish line, it was Bernard CUZIN who finished the race in the lead without being worried. The rider of the #69 Kawasaki won more than 7 seconds behind Gérald MUTEAU. Stéphane NEFF completes the podium in front of Jocelyn HARS.

In the provisional ranking, Bernard CUZIN is in the lead with 60 points ahead of Gérald MUTEAU (51 points) and Stéphane NEFF (30 points).

DISCOVERY PROMO

GROUP A – RACE 1: LAGET FAITHFUL TO HIS TIME

Faithful to the tests where he was the fastest, Kévin LAGET (Suzuki) took the lead from the first moments ahead of Bastien MEJANE (Yamaha). The two riders are competing for first place, a few seconds ahead of Cyrille PIVAULT (Kawasaki) who consolidates 3rd place and widens the gap over Rudi RENIER (Yamaha).

During the last laps of the race, the public saw the gap narrowing between the 3 leading drivers. After shaking up the hierarchy LAGET – PIVAULT – MEJANE finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively in a close call!

GROUP A – RACE 2: LEDARD UNDER THE DROPS

The last race of the day takes place in the rain and on a particularly wet track. Damien LEDARD (Triumph) on the handlebars of his 600 is most at ease on the water. He took the lead after a series of turns and finished the race in first position. The rest of the podium is between Xavier BRISSY (Aprilia) and Jonathan ZEDDAM (Suzuki) who go almost wheel to wheel on the last lap.

Finally, Xavier BRISSY (Aprilia) crossed the finish line with more than a second ahead of Jonathan ZEDDAM (Suzuki).

GROUP B – RACE 1: WORRY-FREE REACHING

It is Kévin RALLIER (Kawasaki) who is doing well among the drivers on the front row. After a few laps, he took the reins of the race ahead of Damien TRISTANT (Aprilia) and Antoine ROLAND (Yamaha). The latter, riding his 600cc Yamaha, resisted the 1000cc of Morgan GAUTHIER (Honda) until the 3rd lap before the checkered flag where the power of the Honda n°190 ignored the agility of ROLAND.

With more than 10 seconds in advance, Kévin RALLIER wins ahead of Damien TRISTANT and Morgan GAUTHIER. The foot of the podium is reserved for Antoine ROLAND who holds back the attacks of Guillaume FRAMBOURG (Suzuki).

GROUP B – RACE 2: VICTORY TO RALLY

Already very fast in the morning, Kévin RALLIER dominates without making any concessions. He set the fastest lap in the race several times and won!

What suspense for 2nd place, Eddy MENARD (Suzuki) and Guillaume FRAMBOURG exchange positions until the intervention of Damien TRISTANT. The latter in turn takes the best of MENARD then FRAMBOURG and finishes the race in 2nd position. Guillaume FRAMBOURG remains in TRISTANT's aspiration and finishes at the foot of the podium in front of MENARD.

PMR CUP: A FIRST FULL OF PROMISES

Alongside the Coupes de France Promosport, the Circuit Carole hosted the PMR Cup, a competition dedicated to people with reduced mobility. Created in 2014, this competition will be held over 4 events, including 2 within the Coupes de France Promosport.

In race 1, it was the initiator of this category, Stéphane PAULUS (Suzuki), who started from pole position and dominated the race from start to finish in the 1000cc category. Behind him, Aurélien BIARD (Suzuki) and Aurélien DOOLAEGHE (Suzuki) are competing for 2nd place. Finally BIARD manages to distance himself and climbs onto the second step of the podium in front of the driver of the No. 14 Suzuki.

In the 600cc, it was Cédric BLEAUD (Triumph) who won ahead of Kévin SIMONATO (Triumph) and Alejandro DE LA CRUZ MORILLAS (Kawasaki).

During the second race, in the 1000cc category, PAULUS once again dominated the proceedings at the start of the race but BIARD proved more effective in the second part. The latter, definitely faster, won 7 seconds ahead of PAULUS. DOOLAEGHE completes the podium.

In 600, Cédric BLEAUD (Triumph), signs his second victory ahead of Alejandro DE LA CRUZ MORILLAS (Kawasaki) and Kévin SIMONATO (Triumph).
