The schedule is busy this weekend for the three Black Knights drivers. If Xavier Siméon and Livio Loi will end their American tour in Austin, the young Barry Baltus will make his debut in the Spanish Pre-Moto3 Championship under the aegis of the Ajo Academy.
Reaching a new milestone in Austin
Between a very complicated weekend in Losail and the first points scored in Argentina, Xavier Siméon was reassured. Of course, there is still work to do to dominate this Speed Up, but he and his team are on the right track. During testing at Termas de Rio Hondo, the Zelos/Classic 21 driver had already managed to reduce the gap with the fastest drivers. Last season, on this Austin circuit, he won pole and set the fastest lap in 2'09''888.

“This circuit suits me well. Last year, I fought for victory for a good part of the race. The Argentinian weekend allowed me to have a slightly clearer idea of the machine's real potential. I took my first points, but I'm aiming for much more. Four years ago I would have been happy with such a result. From now on, my goal is to fight for the first places. However, I remain realistic. As things currently stand, there is still work to be done! With the Speed Up, I'm having more trouble getting the right times at the moment. But this Sunday, I will give 100% to be among the best. »
The race will be followed on Sunday on La Deux (RTBF) from 19:10 p.m.
Livio Loi, more confident than ever
In a few weeks, Livio Loi's status changed to Moto3. From now on, his opponents are watching him closely and are wary of the Limburger. In Argentina, he continued his momentum from Qatar. Competitive during free practice, he would have deserved better during “qualifying” (10th). On the day of the race, he took the daring gamble of starting with “rain” on a drying track. If this poker move did not pay off, Livio had the merit of trying. Overtaken on the last lap by Oettl, he was unable to take any points. But Livio is confident and it shows.

“I can't wait until Friday to get back on the bike. I count down the seconds before the first free practice session. I want to show what I am capable of. For the moment, I have not yet achieved the expected result. But the third try will be the right one, I am convinced. I'll see you all this Sunday for the race. Austin is a magnificent circuit which suits me well and I approach this American stage with full confidence…”
