KIEFER RACING MOURNS THE LOSS OF STEFAN KIEFER

Team principal and co-owner of the German World Championship team, Stefan Kiefer, died unexpectedly overnight from Thursday to Friday.

Stefan Kiefer and the entire Kiefer Racing team remain in Malaysia at present, where the penultimate round of the season takes place this weekend. The circumstances which led to the tragic accident remain unclear for the moment. Out of respect for the entire family and all other relatives, Kiefer Racing will not participate in the Malaysian Grand Prix.

Stefan Kiefer himself was an active driver, and after the end of his career he founded the team jointly with his brother Jochen. Since 2003, Kiefer Racing has been an integral part of the FIM Motorcycle World Championship. Stefan Kiefer was greatly admired throughout the paddock for his always friendly and cordial personality, and he will therefore be greatly missed.

Stefan Kiefer leaves his girlfriend and a son behind. The entire Kiefer Racing team wants to express its sincere condolences to his family.
