[CP] The YZF-R125 wears Monster Energy Yamaha colors

The new Yamaha YZF-R125, available since January 2019, is the most sophisticated 125cc supersport ever created by Yamaha.

This YZF-R125 carries the same DNA as the other models in the R series and the competition machines integrated into different categories and benefiting from years of experience. From June 2019, this proximity to the larger displacement sports models will be reinforced with a special YZF-R125 Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP series.

Its Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP wrap, which reproduces the appearance of the YZR-M1s ridden by Valentino Rossi et Maverick Vinales, perfectly underlines its racing pedigree. Its dynamic and aggressive style is intended to be inimitable, and the green Monster Energy label which adorns its sides is there to prove it. This special series brings its rider closer to the world of competition that drives Yamaha.

An authentic supersport machine needs power to assert its style, and the YZF-R125 don't miss it. At the heart of this 2019 model, the 125cc, 4-valve, liquid-cooled single-cylinder has been completely redesigned for 2019 to deliver higher torque and power, delivered linearly with a simple turn of the wrist. A Variable Valve Timing (VVA) system optimizes intake valve timing relative to engine speed. This VVA helps deliver higher torque at low rpm and higher power at high rpm, all while improving fuel efficiency.

These performances are fully expressed in a particularly sharp chassis. The Deltabox frame of the YZF-R125 has an advanced geometry for formidable maneuverability. The aluminum swingarm has been redesigned for this 2019 model year: it benefits from Yamaha's own casting technology which optimizes its rigidity for sportier driving.

Power and handling are no use without control, which is why the YZF-R125 incorporates many R-series-specific features, including a precise Assisted Slipper (A&S) clutch, 41mm diameter inverted front fork, a GP type upper triple clamp and a wide rear tire with a section of 140.
