Le Castellet, May 11, 2020

In accordance with government directives, the Circuit Paul Ricard was able to resume all of its track activities today, May 11, 2020.

As part of the reopening of external sites, it is recommended that barrier gestures be respected, which complement the health doctrine defined by the competent authorities. The circuit teams have therefore actively prepared for this relaunch and developed a detailed prevention plan in perfect harmony with those recommended.

This prevention plan includes (among other things):
The implementation of digital prior checks and a reception with collection of accreditations in “drive”.
Reminder of barrier gestures to apply (sending prior to arrival on site + display)
Respect for physical distancing (no grouping of more than 10 people, markings, protective plexiglas, visors, gloves, etc.)
Provision of hydroalcoholic gel
Systematic disinfection of contact points and equipment
The progress of the dematerialized briefings (prior to arriving on site, by video or failing that outside by the circuit's FM station)
Closing places such as changing rooms, showers and maintaining access to toilets with water points.
Encouragement to use adapted personal equipment
Food sales only for takeaway

Stéphane Clair, general director of Circuit Paul Ricard, was particularly satisfied : “Our priority has always been and remains the quality of the welcome we provide to our customers. This involvement takes on an even more important meaning when it concerns our health. I would like to salute the work carried out by the GN CACEIPA, the FFSA and the FFM in order to allow discussions with the Ministry of Sports which led to the resumption of activity. I am also pleased with the confidence of our customers who insisted on getting back on the track from the first day of deconfinement. I am convinced that we can count on them and on motorsport lovers to support us! »

Driving began this Monday afternoon with Curbstone Azur on the main circuit. From Tuesday May 12, training will resume on the karting circuit.
After this long period of “staying at home”, the Circuit Paul Ricard will host the “Racetrack Days” next weekend on the 5,8 km route. All enthusiasts will be able to enjoy - while respecting distancing measures - the large wooded spaces, a breathtaking view of the racing from the grandstand of the Grand Prix Hall, and the takeaway sale from the Grand Prix Burger.
The kart rental service will also resume on Sunday May 17, observing the health requirements in force.

The full schedule of events and competitions will be communicated very soon, as uncertainties remain and it was not possible to publish it earlier.
