After the final stage of the Moto3 World Championship, Marco BEZZECCHI confirmed his status as the best Mahindra rider of 2017.

The final round of the Moto3 World Championship allowed Manuel PAGLIANI (#96) and Marco BEZZECCHI (#13) to fight for points in Valencia.

During free practice, Manuel PAGLIANI (15th) and Marco BEZZECCHI (17th) were once again the fastest Mahindra drivers.

During the qualifying session Manuel PAGLIANI finished in 23rd place, achieving his best time on the 6th lap (1.40.216). Marco BEZZECCHI, for his part, fell twice, which placed him 2th on the starting grid.

The start of the race is good for Marco BEZZECCHI who gains 5 places in the first lap. However, a fall on the 3rd lap demoted him to 30th position with a big delay on the group. BEZZECCHI continued to fight and finished the race in 28th place, with only 12 points separating him from the title of “Rookie of the year”. Manuel PAGLIANI, his teammate, had a consistent race, fighting for 19th position. He crossed the finish line 22nd.

In the general classification of the World Championship, Marco BEZZECCHI ranks 23rd and Manuel PAGLIANI 29th.

Manuel PAGLIANI (#96): “I started the race well but the battle with two of my competitors cost me a few places. I can say that the season was not easy but I had 3 good races overseas and that counts too. Thanks to all this experience, I hope to achieve better results next season”.

Marco BEZZECCHI (#12): “I managed to recover some positions during the first two laps, but after my crash the bike was damaged. This year was a great experience for me, I made a podium and I got good results overall, thanks to the CIP team, the mechanics and everyone who supported me.”

Alain Bronec: “We have had very consistent results and promising drivers this season. Marco BEZZECCHI being the first Mahindra driver in the general classification, the result is positive. Now is the time to prepare for next season.”
