The PETRONAS Yamaha Sepang Racing Team rider heads to the Land of the Rising Sun this weekend, for what will mark the first of three consecutive Grands Prix that the paddock is preparing to host.
fabio quartararo dominated the race during the last Grand Prix, in Buriram, and victory only escaped him in the last corner. However, he was able to take second place and moved a little closer to the title of rookie of the year (which he can mathematically win this weekend in Japan), in addition to increase its lead in the Independent Drivers' Championship.
A big fan of the Motegi circuit, he won the Moto2 race there last year before being disqualified due to a violation of the technical regulations. He will no doubt want to put that behind him on Sunday with a good result.
