Thailand is preparing to host the MotoGP™ World Championship starting in 2018.

Sakon Wannapong, Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand and Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of Dorna Sports will meet on Thursday August 31 at a ceremony in Bangkok, to conclude their agreement in the presence of General Tanasak Patimapragorn, Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand and Pongpanu Svetarundra, Minister of Tourism and Sports.

The contract in question is for a period of three years. The Thai Grand Prix would thus take place on the Buriram track from 2018 to 2020.
