After once again setting the best time in the third free practice session of the Japanese GP, Saturday morning on the Motegi circuit, Thomas Lüthi (Garage Plus Interwetten) was narrowly beaten – 67 thousandths of a second – by the reigning world champion and current championship leader, Frenchman Johann Zarco, in the conquest of pole position.

Sunday morning (start at 5:20 a.m. Swiss time), Lüthi will start from the middle of the first row of the starting grid for this first of three races in a row overseas. Everything went back to normal with the second set of tires, he only needed very little to get pole position, but I think everyone understood that Tom would have to be counted on for victory on Sunday. . This is our goal. We will continue to work for this end of the season and for the future, namely the 2017 season.”
