Thomas Lüthi (Garage Plus Interwetten) remains loyal to CGBM Evolution, the company managed by Frédéric Corminboeuf and which is fielding two teams in the Moto2 world championship this year.

Fourth in the intermediate ranking at the mid-season mark, with 93 points (a victory at the first GP of the year, in Qatar), Lüthi extended his collaboration with the Swiss structure for two years. In 2017, he will again participate in the Moto2 world championship; a decision as to the category in which he will perform the following season will be made during next year.

On the eve of the first tests for the Austrian GP, in Spielberg – the championship resumes this weekend and the following, in Brno (Czech Republic) -, Frédéric Corminboeuf is happy to have been able to extend his agreement with the best current Swiss driver: “We are of course all very happy to keep Tom in our team,” explains the manager. “Freed from questions about his future, Thomas will be able to commit as he always does, 100%, for this second part of the championship. There are still nine races on the program, and I am convinced that we will obtain other podiums and other victories between now and November,” adds Frédéric Corminboeuf.

Tom Lüthi, who joined CGBM Evolution during the winter of 2014-2015, should again drive a Kalex in 2017.
