Jack Miller and Tito Rabat, the drivers of Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS, neither managed to finish a French Grand Prix punctuated by numerous crashes.

A cruel disappointment for the Australian and the Spaniard who were both in the points when their race ended prematurely on the legendary Bugatti circuit of Le Mans. Miller and Rabat weren't the only ones to go to the mat. They were imitated by the double MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez and the two Italian stars, Andrea Dovizioso and Andrea Iannone.

Starting from tenth-eighth place on the grid, Miller was in tenth position when he lost the front of his Honda on the 18th lap of the race. Before his fall, the Australian made a strong impression even though he is still recovering from his foot and ankle injuries.

Rabat was also inconsolable after making a mistake in the 8th lap. Regaining confidence with his Honda, the Spaniard was fighting for a place in the points even though he had started from the last place on the grid.

The fifth round of the MotoGP world championship was won by Jorge Lorenzo. Thirteen drivers out of twenty-one crossed the finish line of a Grand Prix attended by 99 spectators.

Jack Miller: DNF
“It’s a disappointing race. I was following the plan set out during a so far solid weekend, I was pushing hard and with ten laps to go I lost the front in turn seven. I was doing nothing more that on the next lap I wasn't any faster, I just hit a bump and the bike went under me. Everyone had front tire problems today, and I was no exception. »

Tito Rabat: DNF
“I'm very disappointed because I did a good warm-up this morning and I felt good for the race. I had just overtaken Baz and was going a little faster when I lost the front entering turn six. I'm sorry for the team and for me because I don't know how I could have made such a mistake. »

Michael Bartholemy: Team Principal
“Two blank results in the same day is really hard, especially when our two drivers could finish in the points. Jack could even claim ninth place. It's difficult for a private team like ours because we need results and this day could have allowed us to get some. There were a lot of falls today, but it's a shame to go home without having scored anything on the counter. »
