For this second stage of the overseas tour, the CIP drivers continue their learning by stringing together good performances in line with the Japanese GP.

After the excellent results obtained in Japan, confidence was high before heading to the Phillip Island circuit. In cool weather conditions, Marco BEZZECCHI (#12) and Manuel PAGLIANI (#96) discovered the magnificent setting of the Australian GP with the ambition of stringing together good results. After the Friday practice sessions, Marco BEZZECCHI ranks 11rd position and Manuel PAGLIANI points at 15rd rank. During the third practice session, the more slippery track did not improve these results.

The qualifying session starts on a dry track and Manuel PAGLIANI achieves a very good 1'37.713 during his second outing while at the same time Marco BEZZECCHI achieves a lap in 1'37.972. The rain appears at the end of the session, and no improvement can be possible. CIP drivers qualify respectively 7rd and 12rd.

The start of the race is given on a dry track, and after having made a good start, the CIP drivers quickly reach the Top 10. At 3rd lap, Manuel PAGLIANI manages to achieve the best lap but the fall of a competitor in the 5rd lap makes him demote to 18rd place. Marco BEZZECCHI succeeds in overtaking several times, until taking 2rd position in 6rd round, seems in position to repeat his performance from Japan but a highside in the 8rd turn forces him to abandon. Manuel PAGLIANI for his part managed to re-enter the Top 15 before the rain appeared and the race was stopped with a red flag.

Alain Bronec : “It’s another very successful race weekend for our drivers and the whole team after the excellent results in Japan. The conditions were different but the commitment was still high. »

We'll see you on October 29 at the Sepang circuit for the Malaysian Grand Prix.
