Yamaha's rich Grand Prix history spans six decades and continues today with the YZR-M1. Over the seasons, Yamaha has acquired the knowledge to create production machines like the YZF-R1M, YZF-R1, YZF-R6, YZF-R3, and YZF-R125.
The YZF-R1M quickly established itself as the ultimate model in the YZF-R series. Today, it is widely considered one of the most advanced and capable track motorcycles. The YZF-R1's track record speaks for itself: 2017 world endurance champion title, Hat Trick record at the prestigious Suzuka 8 Hours, victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 2017 Bol d'Or. The YZF- R6 took off the 600cc Supersport segment when it launched and won the 2017 FIM Supersport World Championship in its first year. Furthermore, the YZF-R3 and the YZF-R125 currently allow young riders to discover motorcycle competition in different Cups throughout Europe.
Each R Series model can claim some of MotoGP's M1 DNA.
Now, Yamaha is giving its customers the opportunity to learn how to make the most of these machines by developing their track riding skills with official riding schools. These schools are aimed at owners wishing to improve their driving technique on the circuit. Objective: ride safer and faster, getting the most out of their Yamaha.
Each flying school offers its customers the keys needed to fly like professionals. Finding the apex, understanding the bike when entering or exiting a turn, an official Yamaha riding school is the best place to get advice from experienced instructors. Different workshops are offered, each of them is specifically designed for Supersport Yamahas. Clients benefit from theoretical and practical courses. The knowledge acquired can then be tested on the track, under the watchful eye of certified instructors. Depending on the school, customers who wish can also rent Yamahas.
Official Yamaha riding schools already exist in France, Italy and Spain, with new schools planned to open in other countries in the coming months.
