During the bike changes that took place during the Czech Republic Grand Prix, an incident took place between Aleix Espargaro who set off on his second bike just as Andrea Iannone was returning to take hers.

The Suzuki rider had to brake suddenly and a fall ensued which brought several motorcycles to the ground, fortunately without damage.

However, during the post-Grand Prix press conference, their opinion was asked for Marc Marquez, Dani Pedrosa et Maverick Vinales.

After the incident between Aleix Espargaro and Andrea Iannone, what improvements could be made?

Marc Márquez : “Regarding the incident with Aleix, I didn’t see it. Someone only explained to me what happened when Aleix was going out and Iannone was coming back. Normally, this is a mistake on the part of the team. Normally, at least in my team, if they see someone coming, they have to stop me. There's a guy on my team who needs to stop me. It's like in Formula 1: if you have a red light, you can't leave. So more than an error from Aleix or Iannone, it is an error from the team, if Aleix went out and Iannone returned. »

Dani Pedrosa : “I didn’t see the action. I haven't seen the images and can only give my opinion like this. So I do not know. »

Maverick Vinales : “Regarding the accident, I don’t know. I haven't seen the footage, but anyway, and like Marc said, the team has to be involved too. The returning pilot has priority. »

Outside of conference, Jorge Lorenzo also shed his own light on the subject: “This is not F1 and we don't have their culture regarding tire changes. They are much better and ready. For two-wheelers, this is a strange situation. Furthermore, in front of our boxes, everything is more confusing. You just have to look at what happened to Iannone. There are a lot of mechanics, a lot of people. Fortunately, nothing happened. »
