At the head of six victories in nine Grands Prix contested at this stage of the season, Franco Morbidelli begins this second part of the exercise with 34 lengths ahead of Tom Lüthi, his closest pursuer. However, nothing is done and, to continue the momentum, we will have to wet our swimsuits and get back into the swing of things. Which is a good thing since, since this morning, it has been raining on the Brno track, the scene of the resumption of the Grands Prix.

Moto3 and MotoGP did not escape this and Moto2 also tasted the Czech humidity at the start of the Grand Prix of the Republic of the same name. A discovery for Joe Roberts who took the place of Yonny Hernandjoin the AGR team.

This first part of the campaign revealed a particularly well-born beginner KTM with a Miguel Oliveira determined on his handlebars. It was precisely this duo who took command of the hierarchy from the start of hostilities, ahead of Alex Marquez, Simone Courses and Sandra Cortese who already knows that he needs to find another team for 2018.

Morbidely et Lüthi were then on the border of the top 10, behind the rookie but solid bagnaia. As for the new Roberts, he finished in a more than good sixteenth place. He even did much better afterwards, placing himself squarely in the top 5.

At the start of the last quarter of an hour, the hierarchy was still controlled by Olive tree before Alex Marquez, Courses, Morbidely et Syahrin. Joe Roberts was ninth in front Xavi Virgo and its Mistral610. fabio quartararo was nineteenth and Hang on had just fallen.

But it was not only the Czech guest who experienced the pangs of the fall. The championship leader Morbidely also got into it in turn 11, at the same time concluding his performance for good. Unharmed, he still saved a place in the top 10, in a ranking where Olive tree will never have given up.

Courses follows in front of a Virgin which confirms all the good things the paddock thinks of him. Syarhin et Alex Marquez complete the top 5. Quarterly is only thirty-first and the beginner Joe Roberts fourteenth.
