The Grand Prix of the Czech Republic marked the end of the summer break, for all the drivers in general and for Fabio Quartararo in particular, very motivated for this resumption of activities.
It was an intense and constant rain which greeted the competitors in the Moto2 category on Friday morning, and this allowed the French rider to gradually get back into the swing of things, carrying out a very cautious session which he concluded at the 30th position.
A completely dry track in the afternoon, however, allowed him to increase the pace and, after appearing several times in the Top 10, to conclude FP2 in 14th position, less than a second from the best time achieved today. .
fabio quartararo, 14th: “This first day of the Grand Prix was positive. The morning was a bit difficult due to the rain, but the afternoon went well. In the dry, we did the entire session with the same tire which held up well, and that bodes well for the race. If we are able to improve certain things, I think that tomorrow we can be in more forward positions. »
