The member of the French team Tech3 Racing actually finished his two sessions in third position, just 0,057 seconds behind the best time achieved on Friday.
Xavi Verge : “I am very happy with how this first day went in Brno. I can hardly believe this comeback after my injury, because the last month was very difficult and I had to go to the physiotherapist daily. So I have to thank Doctor Mir and his whole team for this incredible work, and also thank the doctors, physios and all the people who were involved, like for example the Tech3 team, and who worked hard during the summer break . Now here is the result and I am really happy to have finished third regardless of the conditions. I know that tomorrow will be difficult again and it was a challenge to stay with the leading group. But I will give 200% to do a good qualifying and be close to the best on the starting grid on Sunday. I thank the Tech3 team for their work. »
