Author of a splendid start to the race during the Grand Prix of the Czech Republic, it is an inevitably disappointed Johann Zarco who takes stock of this weekend in Moravia.

Qualified in 10th position, and himself admitting that dry track conditions were the most favorable terrain for achieving a good performance, Johann zarco gradually overcame all his opponents to form a leading trio with Valentino Rossi et Andrea Dovizioso.

Unfortunately, for having calculated his strategy on that of the famous Yamaha rider, and even having stayed an extra lap on the track, before returning to take his bike equipped with slick tires, the Tech3 rider lost any chance of finishing well at the finish. .

As usual, tomorrow we will publish its full debriefing.

Johann zarco : “It was a difficult race. I'm having trouble hiding my disappointment. We started on wet tires and I felt good. I hoped not to have to go through the boxes, to manage my Grand Prix like this, even if the wet marks disappeared little by little. The track dried very quickly, the strategy from then on was to go back in to change bikes, but I did it one or two laps too late, which caused me to lose the equivalent of ten seconds. Otherwise, I could have finished in the Top 6. But it's all a question of experience and it's always difficult to analyze the conditions, to know if it's going to rain or not. Valentino was in front of me. When he came back, I thought maybe pushing back my stop a lap would be beneficial. In the end, I wasted even more time, which is a shame. But it was important to finish the race, score some points and learn. I learned a lot this weekend. I have to stay calm to be fast in Austria. »
