Andrea Iannone overcame leg pain after her yesterday's fall in the pit lane to do important work on new settings, on electronics, and with some new engine parts in preparation for the 2018 season.

He also positively tried the new Michelin front tire.

Andrea Iannone : “It's a shame we couldn't make better use of the soft tire, but unfortunately I crashed twice this morning trying to push the bike to its limits, and this cost us time. We have focused on some improvements heading into 2018 and I think we are in the right direction. My feeling on the bike has improved a lot. In fact, today I was able to ride much faster than yesterday during the race. My pace has also improved. I spoke with Aleix and he has much the same feeling as me, so I think we are in the right direction and have a good chance of progressing. »

Ken Kawauchi – Technical Manager: “It was a very important test for us, both for the immediate future and for development towards 2018. We had many parts to try and three specific programs for our three drivers, each with a different priority . Overall, the outcome is positive: with Andrea and Alex we were able to take some steps forward which will be useful from Austria, but we also obtained important information which will promote development during the second part of the season. Alex tried the evolution of the chassis used by Andrea since Barcelona. He found some positives there. We also brought a new engine specification that the drivers appreciated, and this will be very important for next year. Tsuda worked hard with the test team developing new electronic solutions. »
