#CzechTest MotoGP: Update at 13 p.m.!

Today is an official IRTA test day at the Brno circuit. In practice, this means that this day is not counted from the five days of private testing authorized by the regulations.

Present are the Repsol Honda Team (Marc Marquez, Dani Pedrosa), Movistar Yamaha MotoGP (Valentino Rossi, Maverick Vinales), Ducati Team (Andrea Dovizioso, Jorge Lorenzo), Monster Yamaha Tech3 (Johann Zarco, Jonas Folger), LCR Honda (Cal Crutchlow), Aprilia Racing Team Gresini (Aleix Espargaro, Sam Lowes), Team Suzuki Ecstar (Andrea Iannone, Alex Rins, Takuya Tsuda), Red Bull KTM Factory Racing (Pol Espargaro, Bradley Smith) and EG 0,0 Marc VDS (Jack Miller, Tito Rabat).

The 3 Ducati satellite teams are therefore absent Octo Pramac Racing, Pull&Bear Aspar Team et Royal Avintia Racing.

As a reminder, the best weather this weekend is to the credit of Marc Márquez in 1'54.981 while the track record also belongs to him in 1'54.596.

This morning, despite perfect conditions on the Brno circuit (22° in the air, 32° on the ground), only three drivers took to the track during the first hour of these official free practices: first of all Alex Espargaro and  Maverick Vinales et Takuya Tsuda.

Quickly, Maverick Vinales went down to 1'57.577 but we had to wait until the end of the first hour for Marc Márquez recorded a 1'56.579, three tenths ahead Andrea Dovizioso and five in front Cal Crutchlow.

The Repsol Honda rider will try, among other things, a new Michelin tire in order to 2018 (new construction).

At noon, Maverick Vinales has already done 26 laps, just like Takuya Tsuda, and lowered the best reference to 1'55.679, four tenths ahead Marc Marquez and seven in front of one Jorge Lorenzo who seems reinvigorated since this weekend.

Like he usually does, Valentino Rossi took to the track very late in the morning and was content with 7 laps until midday. Among other things, he is testing a new swingarm and probably a new fairing.

Andrea Iannone suffered a minor fall.

A little before 13 p.m., Cal Crutchlow is positioned less than a tenth of Maverick Vinales.
