Danilo Petrucci

Eclectic is undoubtedly the adjective that best describes Danilo Petrucci since the MotoGP rider participated in the Dakar this winter, then this year in the championship MotoAmerica Superbike. This has been further confirmed since the announcement of the Italian's participation in an endurance race...

Indeed, the driver from Terni will line up this weekend in a four-hour event at the Pittsburgh International Racing Complex, in Pennsylvania, as part of the WERA National Endurance Racing Series By Dunlop. He will be at the start with a Ducati Panigale V2, shared with the current MotoAmerica Supersport leader (and his teammate) Josh Herrin.

A reconversion? Not at all: simply the best way to discover a track currently unknown to him, with a view to the next MotoAmerica event which will take place at the same place from August 19 to 21. In fact, MotoAmerica regulations do not prohibit riders from riding on a circuit a few days before the race in the case of an endurance event.

The Warhorse HSBK Racing Ducati NYC rider will therefore face the specialist of the genre Josh Hayes without particularly aiming for victory, but above all to discover all the secrets of the American route before facing a week later a Jake Gagne which only concedes 13 points to the Italian in the championship.

The future of Danilo Petrucci en World Superbike perhaps passing the title in the USA, we neglect no detail…
