Davide Tardozzi, sporting director of Ducati Corse, comments on the Italian brand's testing at the Sepang test, where Andrea Dovizioso finished third at 0.185 from Maverick Vinales and Jorge Lorenzo ninth at 0.399.

What are your conclusions from these tests?

“We are very satisfied so far because Dovizioso has done some good testing, comparing parts from last year's bike and parts from this year's machine. We were able to progress, and he showed us the way to follow for the next tests at Phillip Island.

“Jorge for his part is starting to discover how to ride a Ducati. He finally understood that the Ducati was different from his previous bike. He is now attacking a little to find the limit. He's still not satisfied with his performance as a driver, but it's coming gradually.

What is the outlook for Phillip Island?

“We will first confirm with Dovi the positive things we found in Sepang. With Jorge we have several areas to finalize, such as his ergonomic position on the bike which was not the right one during the previous test in Valencia. We found some good solutions in Malaysia and he is now starting to feel comfortable on the bike. He will therefore be able to attack more. »
