The 2017 edition of the Sunday Ride Classic was a great celebration thanks to the presence of the sun, the massive public, a thousand motorcycles on the track and many renowned riders. And among the latter, Loris Baz and Johann Zarco, our two representatives in MotoGP.
As we reported it yesterday, the latter devoted several hours of his precious time to satisfying the audience present. To thank him, an individual that we would politely describe as a black sheep stole his specially decorated helmet to celebrate his second world title. Not a replica of this helmet (like the one you can win in our Competition) But Johann's helmet, which has small differences sufficient to make it unusable and unsellable.
Obviously, while the concept of the Sunday Ride Classic is to leave the paddock open to all for the greatest pleasure of everyone, for an individual to take the opportunity to steal the helmet of our double world champion is an immensely disappointing act.
Of course, we will not give any details on the actions in progress but we advise this person to return the stolen helmet of their own free will while there is still time...
