Third in the Netherlands and in Valencia last year, the rider of Valentino Rossi's Sky VR46 team will have to improve significantly this year if he wants to be part of the Moto2 team afterwards. He only finished seventeenth in the championship with 63 points, compared to, for example, 319 for Brad Binder. In 2015, he finished nineteenth with 35 points, compared to 260 for winner Danny Kent.

Migno is already in his third season of Moto3 and he just celebrated his twenty-first birthday around ten days ago. In 2017 he will not only have to obtain good results, but also be more consistent, as he explained to gpone.com.

“In Moto3 the races are very competitive from the first lap and the group fighting for the podium is often made up of many riders. It's not easy to stay ahead all the time. Victory is the result of the work that begins during practice and solidifies on Sunday in the race. You have to work on every detail of course. To stay ahead, there are no rules or hidden secrets, except... go fast! You must always be fast to be part of the leading group, although to achieve victory you do not always have to start from the first row. What matters is the pace of the race and the attitude that commands respect during battle.

“I train a lot in winter, even more than during the season. Like every year, 2017 will be difficult and, despite the fact that the reigning champion Brad Binder has moved to Moto2, the level of competition will be high again in this championship. I need to be faster in races where it rains. In these wet conditions I need to improve and that's the aspect I want to focus on. I have worked hard and I feel ready for the challenge. In Moto3, the level of KTM, Honda and Mahindra is really similar. Let's just say that each bike has a particular character where it excels, and others where it can be improved, but overall the performance is equal.

“I prefer to work with a team where you can breathe a professional atmosphere that is at the same time pleasant and relaxed. When you have these conditions, you can do well. This has already happened last year several times and can be repeated. I like to feel an atmosphere of harmony with the people around me and my goal is to be constantly competitive. »
