Today began in Jerez a three-day test for the Ducati factory and its official riders.

This Tuesday, only Michele Pirro took to the track but, from tomorrow, he will be joined by Andrea Dovizioso and Jorge Lorenzo for a single day of driving, with the friendliest policeman in Italy concluding the test alone on Thursday.

This is the first Ducati private test for the 2017 season, and the program will be full so that each of the five days of testing with the official riders allocated by the regulations must be made the most of.

Indeed, if Andrea Dovizioso was able to do well on the very favorable Losail circuit last weekend, Jorge Lorenzo will be keen to continue to familiarize himself with his GP17. On the other hand, it is likely that men from Borgo Panigale will continue to develop their secret weapons, whether it is their new fairing still not approved, or the mysterious element hiding in the now famous “sandwich box” Italian machines perhaps intended to combat chattering (see our file).
