MotoGP, Pecco Bagnaia, Marc Marquez

You're not interested enough in social media to follow several hundred drivers, but you don't like to miss any of the little stories that animate MotoGP (Moto2 and Moto3), the World SBK and the other categories? This daily column is made for you, to start the day off right while waiting for more substantial but sometimes less unusual articles! Today, discover the chess duel between Marquez and Bagnaia!

As is often the case when a race takes place in Italy, the Ducati Official Team will be donning different colors this Sunday, paying homage to a part of Italian culture. This weekend, the special Borgo Panigale livery will be a nod to Leonardo da Vinci on the one hand, and to Machiavelli on the other.

To showcase this unique design, designed to cover the fairings of Pecco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez's Desmosedici G25s this Sunday, the Ducati Lenovo Team highlighted an unexpected moment: a chess game between its two MotoGP world champions.

In the photos and videos shared by Ducati on Instagram, Marc Marquez and Pecco Bagnaia appear concentrated in front of a chessboard, each deep in thought. The contrast between the palpable tension and the serenity of this intellectual encounter is striking.

“On June 22nd at Mugello, Marc and Pecco will become modern knights crossing history with a special livery inspired by Florence, cradle of the Renaissance.
Leonardo. Machiavelli. Two souls. Two visions that are reborn today in the form of a race., announced Ducati on its social networks, before adding: "Checkmate."
