He really scared us! It was Lorenzo Baldassarri who suffered a very violent highside at more than 200 km/h during Moto2 qualifying at Assen. Words describe it badly but seeing the body and head of the Italian pilot hit the ground with such brutality could make one fear the worst, especially since number #7 visibly lost consciousness in the accident.

This resulted in the session being interrupted to allow medical evacuation of the Forward pilot to the mobile clinic.

Le Dr Michele Zasa, director of the itinerant structure, declared: “During the fall, Baldassari suffered significant head trauma but regained consciousness when help arrived, and it appears that only his head suffered. Now, he has been taken to the hospital for a scan, after which he will be kept under observation at least until tomorrow. The situation is much better than we expected after seeing the accident on television. In an initial assessment, he does not appear to have any other significant trauma. »

It is from this place that Giovanni Cuzari, the boss of the team, reassured enthusiasts through the photo posted on the social network Instagram, which nevertheless shows us the presence of a neck brace.

We are therefore awaiting more precise and official news.
