Welcome to Assen for the third free practice session.

It was raining on this Saturday morning, the track was uniformly wet and the 1'42.414 achieved the day before by Jorge Martin had not the slightest possibility of being beaten. As the rain was expected to last all day, it was important for the drivers to run in the wet this morning, in order to best prepare for the afternoon qualifying session.

Some showed a clear desire to learn, like the very young Finn Patrick Pulkkinen (still last in the dry) who climbed into the top five. John mcphee fell without gravity in turn 5, shortly after Darryn binder.

Tatsuki suzuki was the first to go under 2 minutes, in 1'59.411. The Japanese improved to 1'58.914. It was not cold – 17° for the air and 16° for the asphalt – and the grip was therefore correct, especially since most of the corners at Assen are banked. Visibility was, however, limited due to the projections.

Fabio di Giannantonio took the lead in 1'58.657. He preceded Marco Bezzecchi, from the CIP teamAlain Bronec, pretty good in the wet. Unfortunately Bezzecchi fell shortly after, without seriousness. Kaito Toba then imitated him in turn 18, the last on the circuit, coming out of the final chicane.

Jakub Kornfeil improved to 1'58.228. Joan Mir was the only Spaniard in the top ten, second, 0.08 behind Kornfeil. Bo Bendsneyder took first position at home in 1'58.193. Suzuki fell without gravity, also in turn 5.

Joan Mir took first position in 1'57.895. Ayumu Sasaki fell lightly in turn 3. Nakarin Atiratphuvapat became leader in 1'57.655. Tony Arbolino fell, Aron Canet fell, Philipp Oettl also, Jakub Kornfeil also, Fabio di Giannantonio the same, separately.

Bo Bendsneyder delighted his Dutch fans by finally setting the best time in 1'57.078 ahead of Nakarin Atiratphuvapat, Joan Mir and the brilliant Jules Danilo.
