Nicky Hayden's state of health is still stable and considered "extremely critical" by doctors at the Cesena hospital where he was transported after his serious accident near the Misano circuit, when he was hit by a car while he was training on his bike.

His father Earl sent roadracingwold.com this message concerning the state of health of his son:

“Everything has been exactly the same for three days.

“Absolutely nothing has changed.

“Please continue to pray for Nicky and my family. It would take a miracle.”

According to Il Corriere di Romagna shown video from the surveillance camera of a house near the intersection where Nicky Hayden was hit by a car last week, the footage suggests that Hayden apparently did not stop for the priority sign before venturing into the intersection. This video is studied by prosecutor Paolo Gengarelli.

Additionally, other media sources suggest that an iPod was found near the crash site and was warm to the touch. Is it Hayden's? Nobody knows.

Still according to Il Corriere di Romagna, at the hospital surveillance measures have been reinforced to prevent anyone from taking photos or videos of the pilot currently hospitalized in the intensive care unit.
