Five races are on the calendar for the 2021 FIM EWC World Championship. The season will begin in mid-April in France at Le Mans with the 24 Heures Motos.

After a 2019-2020 season concluded in Portugal last September, the FIM EWC World Championship will open its 2021 season in France on April 17 and 18 on the Bugatti Circuit in Le Mans with the 24 Heures Motos.

After their postponements in 2020, three major events are back on the 2021 calendar.

In Germany, the 8 Hours of Oschersleben will take place on Sunday May 23.

The FIM EWC will return to the Suzuka 8 Hours which will start on Sunday July 18 in Japan just before the opening of the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

The Bol d'Or will be contested on the Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet in France on September 18 and 19.

As in 2020, the 12 Hours of Estoril will round off this 2021 season in Portugal with a race held on Saturday October 16 on the circuit near Lisbon.

François Ribeiro, Head of Eurosport Events
« The pandemic is not yet behind us and ensuring the continuity of sport remains a priority for 2021: each of the events will take place regardless of the conditions of spectator access to the circuits, and the 2021 calendar will contribute to controlling costs for the teams. All the major classic races of the championship will be back to offer a great spectacle, while awaiting the arrival of the 24 Hours of Spa Motos in June 2022. »

Jorge Viegas, President of the FIM
« Once again, we will do everything possible to ensure that the FIM Endurance World Championship has a calendar that can offer all protagonists a balanced and exciting competition. Even though the pandemic is not over, the FIM and Eurosport Events continue to work tirelessly to offer an unforgettable spectacle thanks to the continued support of the organizers and the National Federations of each country. »
