This weekend will take place on the Circuit Paul Ricard du Castellet the 86th edition of the Bol d'Or, the great classic of French motorcycling as well as the final act of the FIM EWC Endurance World Championship. The official BMW Motorrad EWC team left nothing to chance to his decisive conquest of the world title, so much so that she called on Loris Baz as a “reserve” for the starting crew.

Indeed, the Superbike world champion Bonovo MGM BMW will be the fourth rider, ready to take over if necessary from the starting trio composed of Markus Reiterberger, Ilya Mikhalchik and his friend Jeremy Guarnoni. As shown in the opening photo (from Instagram), Loris Baz already had the opportunity to test the #1000 BMW M 37 RR yesterday during the usual pre-event testing day.

Loris Baz can help BMW to be World Champion this weekend

Loris Baz, associated to Jeremy Guarnoni et Gregory Leblanc, won the 2013 Bol d'Or with Kawasaki SRC, when it was still racing at Magny-Cours. Most recently, he competed in the 2019 edition with the YART Yamaha, fighting for victory.

As mentioned, the BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team still has some chances of winning the 2023 EWC world title. On the eve of this event, he is 38 points ahead of the leaders of the FCC TSR Honda with… 38 points still to be won this weekend.
