The conditions were generally quite favorable today, for this second day of official testing for the 8 Suzuka 2017 Hours.

As for tomorrow, 3 daytime sessions were organized for each of the two groups of motorcycles. No night sessions.

This morning, the official Yamaha (Yamaha Factory Racing Team (Yamaha YZF R1 #21, Katsuyuki Nakasuga, Alex Lowes, Michael van der Mark) took the lead of group A by placing a 2'08.039 in front of the Kawaski of the Green team (Kawasaki ZX-10RR #11, Kazuma Watanabe, Leon Haslam, Azlan Shah bin Kamaruzaman) and the official Honda MuSASHi RT HARC-PRO Honda (Honda CBR 1000RR SP2 #634, Takumi Takahashi, Takaaki Nakagami, Jack Miller).

In group B, without much surprise, it is the official Suzuki Yoshimura (Motul Racing Suzuki GSX-R 1000 2017 #12, Takuya Tsuda, Sylvain Guintoli, Josh Brookes) who led the debate in 2'07.954 in front of the YART (Yamaha YZF R1 #7, Broc Parkes, Marvin Fritz, Kohta Nozane) and the FCC TSR Honda (Honda CBR 1000RR SP2 #5, Stefan Bradl, Dominique Aegerter, Randy de Puniet).

This leadership of the Suzuki held during the 2nd session led again by the Official Yamaha in Group A and FCC Honda in Group B.

The 3rd and final session of this second day (6th on the timesheets) saw the drivers of group A penalized by a wet track.

This was not the case for those in group B. This allowed the FCC to achieve the best time of the day with Dominique Aegerter in 2'07.700, also the best time of the two days combined.

As a reminder, best time achieved yesterday belonged to the Honda MuSASHi RT HARC-PRO Honda (Honda CBR 1000RR SP2 #634, Takumi Takahashi, Takaaki Nakagami, Jack Miller) in 2'07.783 and the track record still belongs to Pol Espargaro in 2'06.000.
