The sun reigned this morning on the Bugatti circuit in Le Mans for the first official test session of the 24 Hours Motorcycles.

From 9:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., two hours of free practice were on the program, and the 52 machines registered were able to take advantage of the good track conditions to achieve interesting times, even more than interesting since the record for the event was quite simply beaten.

Since 2017 this has belonged to Randy De Puniet in 1'35.730 but is now the property of Javier “Xavi” Drilled on the handlebars of the Ducati #6 ERC Endurance – Ducati, in 1'35.460!

3 tenths behind, we find it still very fast Yamaha #7 YART – Yamaha in 1'35''782 ahead of BMW #37 BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team in 1'36''077 despite a minor fall at the Museum bend with Ilya Mykhalchyk. The Honda #5 FCC TSR Honda France and Suzuki #1 Yoshimura SERT Motul complete the top 5 which is held in one second.

The drivers now have a few hours of rest before the first qualifying session which will take place from 16 p.m. to 17:50 p.m., then the first night practice sessions from 20:30 p.m. to 22 p.m.
