This morning on the Bugatti circuit in Le Mans, the second and final qualifying took place to determine the starting order during the 2022 edition of the 24 Hours Motorcycles.

The #6 ERC Endurance Ducati Panigale – Ducati was first in free practice, before the #1 Yamaha YZF-R7 from YART – Yamaha Official Team EWC proved to be the fastest during qualifying 1 and the #1000 Honda CB R5 RR-R from FCC TSR Honda France took pole position provisional in the same session, the average of the best times of the three drivers.

Then the BMW M1000RR #37 of the BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team had displayed its pretensions during night tests.

Ducati, Yamaha, Honda, BMW… In a sense, we might have expected to see Suzuki or Kawasaki make a resounding arrival to take definitive pole position, but no, it's the fast one Yamaha YZF-R1 #7 of YART – Yamaha Official Team EWC driven by the trio Karel Hanika / Marvin Fritz / Niccolò Canepa which proved to be both the fastest and the most homogeneous, Karel Hanika even being the only driver to go below 1'35, in 1'34.878!

Gino Rea (Honda #5 – FCC TSR Honda France) and Sylvain Guintoli (Suzuki #1 – Yoshimura Sert Motul) may have been the fastest in their session, but this was not enough to dethrone the Yamaha from its pole position but ensured that they started immediately behind.

The starting grid for the 52 crews will be published as soon as it is available.
