THE RACE WHERE YOU SHOULD BE!

From June 16 to 18, the Spa-Francorchamps circuit hosts the 24 Hours of Spa EWC Motos, second event of the 2023 World Endurance Championship. Returning last year to the EWC calendar after 19 years of absence, this race legendary was won by the Belgian BMW Motorrad World Endurance team.

Last year, although exhausted by the two laps they had just completed, the drivers of the World Endurance Championship all said they were delighted with the return to the Spa 24 Hours calendar. With its 6,985 km route - the longest of the season - and its incredible relief, the Belgian circuit was unanimously acclaimed. Thanks to major work which has made it possible to improve its safety, the Ardennes slide certainly offers EWC organizers a fantastic playground.

At the end of a breathtaking duel with the Suzuki of the Yoshimura SERT team, it was the Belgian BMW Motorrad World Endurance team which won last year in the hands of Markus Reiterberger, Illia Mykhalchyk and Jeremy Guarnoni. Obviously, the men of Werner Daemen will aim for victory again this year. Especially since during the opening of the EWC championship, at Le Mans, the BMW Motorrad World Endurance team climbed onto the third place on the podium behind the reigning world champions of the FCC TSR Honda France team and the Austrian Yamaha of YART.

Unhappy on the Bugatti circuit because it suffered a fall on the first lap of the race, the Suzuki of the Yoshimura SERT team will also line up at Spa with the ambition of seeking this victory which had narrowly escaped it in the first round. last season. Another team in search of redemption, the team KM 99. Forced to retire on the Bugatti circuit, Lucas Mahias, Florian Marino and Bastien Mackels intend to win their first points of the season on the land of their team manager, Mario Kupper.
