The terrible accident happened exactly a month ago to the pilot FCC TSR Honda France, during free practice for the Suzuka 8 Hours. For 48 hours, Gino Rea was between life and death, but thanks to his good physical shape, his will, the know-how of the Japanese medical staff and the support of his family, the miracle took place: The British pilot was embarked this morning in a plane to undergo more effective rehabilitation in his country of origin!

After the first days, Gino Rea surprised everyone with the speed of his recovery and, with the help of his family, was able to move around the hospital after a while using a wheelchair and a walker.

The Briton still has several months of work and effort ahead of him, but the TSR team and his family are convinced that the recovery of Gino Rea will be complete, which is unexpected given the very serious injuries suffered.

Airlifted in critical condition to the nearest hospital, the 32-year-old pilot suffered a severe concussion, serious head trauma, in addition to several fractures to his left collarbone. Placed in an induced coma while brain swelling was reduced, then was awakened and had his ventilator removed a few days later. From then on, he began to communicate and continued to make progress, until Monday, September 5, when he was able to leave the hospital in a medical transport.

He undoubtedly won the greatest of his victories there!
