Gino Rea, FCC TSR Honda France driver for the 8 Suzuka 2022 Hours, suffered a very serious accident during testing for the Japanese event. This happened on Saturday during FP2, between 15:15 p.m. and 16:00 p.m. in Japan (8:15 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. in France) before being transported unconscious by helicopter.

Since then, nothing. More than 24 hours have passed, and no information has been released, whether by the organizers, the local press or the team concerned.
In the press release issued after the event which ended today, the 32-year-old British driver's teammates also said they had no news.

Josh Hook : " These last few days have been very difficult for us and the whole team. First of all, we would like to say that our thoughts and prayers are with Gino. We are thinking of him during this difficult time. »

Mike Di Meglio : " I don't know Gino's condition, so I have mixed feelings, but it was a very difficult mental situation to start the race. »
