The action at the Spa 8H continues, and the halfway mark has been reached. While the #1 Yamaha continues to dominate the event, widening the gap over its pursuers, many changes are taking place behind it. So a lot can still happen before the scheduled arrival at 21 p.m.
EWC:
Marvin Fritz and the Yamaha n°1 have not let go of the lead since the start of the race. The German and his teammates continue the times, and are now a few tens of seconds ahead of the No. 12 currently led by Gregg Black. Note that the leaders could make an additional stop, which would have the effect of considerably reducing the gaps.
Behind the leading duo, the #37 BMW made a mistake with serious consequences. During the third hour of action, the BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team fell, and are currently at the back of the standings.
Although they were able to return to the track after a certain time, an oil leak forced the men of the Belgian structure to return to the pits to carry out more important repairs. While the podium now seems inaccessible, it will be a question for the crew to save a few points for the championship.
This is the second major incident to occur at the front after the unfortunate fall of the No. 5 at the start of the race. Led by Alan Techer, the TSR Honda France Honda is currently 17th.
Superstock:
The No. 111, led by Kevin Calia, takes the race in hand, and is currently leading the dance in the category with a handful of seconds ahead of Valentin Suchet (National Motos Honda.) The two machines are in 5th and 7th position in the General classification.
