These last few hours have been eventful, that’s saying something! There Suzuki GSXR-1000 #1 by Yoshimura Sert Motul is still in the lead, ahead of the Yamaha YZF-R1 #7 from YART Yamaha Official Team EWC. The Ducati Panigale V4R #6 from ERC Endurance Ducati follows with two turns.
The night in endurance, a special moment.
The start of the evening, rather calm, did not suggest any major developments. However, at 22 p.m., the Kawasaki ZX 10R #11 leading the world championship is forced to retire, the fault of a major engine problem. At the same time, the ZX 10R #4 from Tati Team Beringer Racing is also repatriated to the pits, due to a fallAlan Techer ! Less than 30 minutes later, the BMW M1000RR #37 also had hiccups. Ilya Mykhalchyk had to push his machine to the box, not without being applauded by all the mechanics in pit lane. “We have an engine problem. The pilot heard a noise, it was undoubtedly a major damage. At the moment, we don’t know if we will be able to leave” says the team manager BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team. Note, the abandonment of the Yamaha YZF-R1 #36 from the 3art Best of Bike team.
At 23 p.m., the traditional points for the third of the race were awarded. Yoshimura SERT Motul therefore pockets ten points, against nine for the YART extension and eight for ERC Endurance Ducati.
